Today I present to you the letter N.
Found in the book of Nehemiah.
Nehemiah was the king cup bearer, or rather he tasted the king’s food before he had it in order to prevent any possible poisoning to the King. Obviously, none of that stuff was poisoned since Nehemiah was alive during the building of the Jerusalem wall.
This wall was built in order to fortress Israel’s from their enemies. However, building this wall was not easy. The bordering countries sent messengers in order to stop from building constantly and keep them from reaching their goal. No matter the number of interruptions or distractions, the wall was built and it took approximately 52 days to do so.
I was inspired by Nehemiah due to a group of buildings in Brownsville, Brooklyn named the Nehemiah project. Once you read the story of Nehemiah, you will understand the purpose of this project. Many buildings were remodeled and made into homes so the people of Brooklyn, can respect and enjoy where they live. Nehemiah also means to me consistency, no matter what. Thank God for Nehemiah!
