Today I present to you the letter Q for this 17th day of this A-Z blogging challenge
Found in I Kings 10: 1-13
The Queen of Sheba or also known as the Queen of the South, came from her reigning countries to hear about the wisdom of Solomon. At that time and even unto today times, Solomon is known as the wisest man who ever lived. She asked lots of difficult questions and he answered all of them with ease. We can see from Scripture that Solomon always credited his wisdom from God because here she states “Blessed by the Lord your God, who delighted in you, setting you on the throne of Israel! Because the Lord has loved Israel forever, therefore He has made you King, to do justice and righteousness “( I Kings 2:9).
I have not seen any one’s names that start with Q in the Bible, so Queen Sheba is an exception. As the Queen that she is, she is made regal with royal robes and a golden large crown on top of her head. She is known to rule over Egypt and Ethiopia which is south of Israel. She gave praise to the Lord and the credit He is due from his servant Solomon. I always liked reading this, because Queen of Sheba saw the God in Solomon.
As a believer, I want people to see the God in me and let them know that He loves them very much. If you want to know about the Lord, you got to seek Him and He will freely give you wisdom and answers your questions without any reproach (James 1:5) like with the Queen of Sheba and Solomon.
I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing and drawing this portrait.
For the love of God and art!
