Today is the 20th day of the challenge with the letter T.
Introduced in Acts 16; wrote I and II Timothy
Timothy traveled with Paul and Silas for the spread of the gospel . He was of mixed heritage, his mother was Jewish and his father was Greek. For one of their trips, he had to get circumcised once in the presence of other Jews. Of course at this point, Paul was telling the Gentiles that there was no need for the circumcision, but I guess for Timothy it was different because he had both Jew and Greek in him. Of course, you would want to please the conversation side, the Greek side probably may have not given it any thought. It was not noted that he protested, but to be circumcised at that age. Ouch!
I do not know of many names in the Bible other than Tamar which has a tragic ending. I know Timothy, in his writings were inspired by God especially with one of the most recognizable verses in the Bible; II Timothy 1:7, He did not give you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Yes, that verse always gave me encouragement and that I do not have the spirit of fear living in me anymore. I thank you Jesus!
I hope you enjoyed this as much I enjoying drawing and writing this.
For the love of God and art!
