For a Single Purpose David III (2013)
I hope all is well with you. Today we will talk the last of my man, David, a man after God’s heart. Sigh. I just read about him and I can see why he’s a man after God’s own heart. He’s so bold and have so much faith in God. Despite not having any previous experience in war, he defeated Goliath with a slingshot. In this portrayal, David III is executed in a mosaic like collage and it is for sale! If you have been following along, all of the art stories featured on this blog is for sale and the portion of the sales goes towards the Cassondra Lenoir Scholarship Fund. The Cassondra Lenoir Scholarship Fund is for first generation minority college students. If you are eligible or know someone who is, please click here for more info. If not, you can still make a difference by investing in this rare work of art; you will contribute towards the CL Fund for a student to go into college. Either way you are blessed!
How long did you take to create your man of God, David into this masterpiece?
Ha! You got jokes, eh? Well he’s definitely not my man of God, if he were still alive that would be a different story. HA! Either way, we can both agree that this piece is a masterpiece because I wanted to show the boldness and fearlessness in the eyes of David. David’s eyes are focused because he knows he got this, in our Heavenly Father. The amount of confidence is so important when it comes to God and I wanted to show that in this piece. Through the colors used, it shows the intensity of David’s devotion. Looking at this piece, I understand why sometimes Christ is referred as the Son of David. They are both strong valiant and compassionate men. The only difference as you know is Christ is God.
The amount of hours it took for me to complete this piece was approximately 16-20 hours. It took multiple magazines to create this image and lots of prayer and guidance from the Holy Spirit. I congratulate you in advance as you made this work of art a part of your collection that would continue to inspire you for many generations to come. It’s not just art, you are also helping someone’s dream become reality as she or he heads to college. Continue to be blessed!
For the love of God and art!
